Fairfax Co. police charge man in multiple burglary cases

ALEXANDRIA, VA – According to officials, the Fairfax County Police Department arrested and charged a man connected to several burglary cases throughout the area.

Police say that they arrived in the 5500 block of Sheldon Drive around 4:02 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of a larceny. A resident heard a noise coming from the home’s carport, and the victim found a man inside of his vehicle, rummaging through his property. The suspect fled and was apprehended by police shortly after. According to the report, Kevin Neang, 20, was arrested and charged with petit larceny.

After further investigation, police found that Neang was connected to two other burglary cases in the area. He was identified as the third suspect in a burglary that occurred on July 28 in the 5500 block of Vincent Gate Terrace, as well as an unlawful entry at a home in the 5600 block of Harrington Falls.

According to officials, Neang was charged with burglary and unlawful entry for those cases as well.
