PG Police arrest suspect in ice cream truck shooting; search continues for another suspect

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – The Prince George’s County Police arrested a man in connection with shooting an ice cream truck driver. The suspect is 22-year-old Demetrice Littles of Virginia Avenue in Hyattsville.

At about 5:50pm, on July 4th, patrol officers were called to the 5100 block of Buchanan Street for a shooting. The officers found the victim on the ground with several gunshot wounds. He survived his injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect confronted the victim just prior to robbing and shooting him.

Littles was taken into custody when visiting his parole officer.

Detectives are still searching for another suspect.
