Police investigate homicide in Bowie, MD

BOWIE, Md. – The Prince George’s Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Bowie, Maryland. The incident occurred in the 15700 block of Everest Drive on Saturday.

Around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, officers from the Bowie Police Department responded to the area for a welfare check of a man lying in the road. When they arrived, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. The man, who police have identified as 44-year-old Cleve Monnity, was pronounced dead on the scene.
