WASHINGTON, D.C. – If you’re looking for a job in the D.C. metro area, then you’re luck! Here are a couple of job fairs to mark on your calendar, as well as a new job opportunity out of Virginia.

The first job fair will be held on Monday in Prince George’s County. The Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation is holding a “Jobs and Resource” Fair for veterans. The EDC says that this fair is for vets seeking employment or career growth, with positions in hospitality, transportation, health care or even construction. The fair gets underway at 10 a.m. at the EDC building on McCormick Drive in Largo. However, you have to register to attend. You can visit the link here to register and get more information.

The second job fair, hosted by the U.S. Postal Service, is going to be this Wednesday, August 3rd in Virginia. During the job fair, the recruiter will help candidates fill out applications. The agency is looking to hire in Arlington, Alexandria, Merrifield, and Reston. They are looking for people to fill the following positions: carrier assistant, rural carrier assistant, and automotive technician. The fair is on at the Arlington Employment Center from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Also in Virginia, a financial services firm is expanding its headquarters in Alexandria. Governor Terry McAuliffe says that Motley Fool will invest $5 million in an expansion that will add 60 jobs. During a three year period, the state and the city of Alexandria will be providing $350 thousand to help create those jobs. The company currently employs 282 people.
