Police investigate homicide in Manassas

MANASSAS, VA – The Prince William County Police Department is investigating a double stabbing that occurred Saturday in the 7400 block of Willoughby Lane in Manassas, Virginia.

According to officials, when officers arrived on the scene, they found two victims, an adult male and an adult female, in the parking lot suffering from stab wounds. The female victim was transported to a local hospital, where she is currently being treated for serious injuries. The male victim died as a result of the stab wounds.

Police also report that the suspect was located in the area and also suffered injuries from the incident. The suspect, who police have identified as an acquaintance of the female victim, is now in custody and received treatment for his wounds.

Officials believe that this incident was isolated to the parties involved. The identities of those involved will be released once next of kin is notified for the victims and formal charges are brought against the suspect. At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
