UPDATE: Six year old boy shot in Southeast D.C.

UPDATE: Police report that the boy shot in Southeast on Saturday afternoon was six years old. According to officials, he was on a playground when he was shot.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is reporting a shooting in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road in Southeast, D.C.

According to officials, police arrived on the scene to find a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was conscious and breathing and was transported to a local hospital.

Police are telling resident to be on the lookout for two black males, each wearing a black mask.
