Firefighters rescue worker stuck in Metro elevator pit

WASHINGTON, DC – DC firefighters rescued a worker who fell down an elevator pit at the Foggy Bottom metro station Thursday morning.

According to DC Fire and EMS tweets, the worker, an escalator repairman, fell into the pit after suffering from a medical emergency while working. The incident occurred in the 900 block of 23rd St. NW.
