Two people injured in officer-involved shooting in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Saturday night that left two people injured. The incident took place at Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Street, Northwest.

Police responded to the scene around 8 p.m. on Saturday night. Upon arrival, they found two adult victims, who were both conscious and breathing. They were transported to an area hospital.

Police have confirmed that the officer involved in the shooting was off-duty at the time. The officer was not injured during the incident.
