Bank robbery suspect sought by Fairfax police

FAIRFAX CO. (Mason Police District), VA – Fairfax police are searching for a suspect in connection to a Falls Church bank robbery.

Officials say a man entered the the TD Bank at 6198 Arlington Boulevard at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday and claimed to have an explosive device in a backpack. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say. There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 50’s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build,  with gray hair in a ponytail. He was wearing sunglasses, a yellow hat, a gray shirt and jeans.

Officials believe that this suspect is responsible for another bank robbery that occurred at the BB&T Bank at 8416 Arlington Boulevard on Wednesday, June 1.
