PRINCE GEORGES CO., MD - Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a Forestville shooting that left three dead and two injured.

Lawrence Sylvester Rogers Jr., 24, of Capitol Heights was arrested on Wednesday in Washington DC for fatally shooting three people in a Forestville home on June 24. He has been charged with three counts of first and  second degree murder.

Rogers is currently police in custody, awaiting extradition to Prince George's County.murder suspect.2.2

murder suspect.HLThe shooting occurred on Friday, June 24 at a home in the 3100 block of Orleans Avenue in Forestville. Officials say that upon arriving to the scene they found five adults shot. Carlina Gray, 50, Jan Marie Parks, 55, and Allen Rowlett, 60, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were critically injured and hospitalized.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s). Preliminary, investigators do not believe this was a random crime.
