1 dead, 2 injured in Hyattsville shooting

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO., MD – Prince George’s Police are investigating a Hyattsville shooting that left one dead and two injured.

Patrol officers were called to a local hospital at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 24 for reports of three shooting victims who transported themselves to the hospital. According to police, an investigation revealed that the victims were shot in the intersection of 54th Avenue at Macbeth Street.

Twenty-year-old Jeremiah Marlon Dingle died from his injuries on Wednesday, officials say. The other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
