UPDATE: Police make arrest of individual that assaulted 11 year old girl

FAIRFAX CO. (Mclean Police District )– Fairfax County Police have arrested a suspect in connection to the assault of an 11-year-old girl that occurred at the Target store in McLean on June, 18.

The arrest was made after detectives from the Major Crimes Division, Sex Crimes Squad received an anonymous tip through Fairfax County Crime Solvers. Police say that a Fairfax County police officer involved with the case saw photographs of the suspect and recognized the logo on his shirt.

With that information police were able to identify the suspect as Brendon Jennings Cordova, 19, of Vienna.

Cordova turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Thursday, June 23. He was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Detectives are attempting to determine if there are other victims and would like to hear from anyone with information regarding this, or other similar cases.
