DC Police investigate fatal shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast DC.

Police say the incident occurred in the 700 block of Kentucky Avenue, Southeast on June 18. At approximately 1:25 a.m., police responded to investigate a call that was made from the location. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

According to police, the victim, who has been identified as 40-year-old Stephanie Goodloe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.  Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
