Nightly 10P News Is Coming To DCW50!
WDCW-TV TO LAUNCH LOCAL NIGHTLY 10P NEWS

TO LAUNCH NEWSCAST BEGINNING IN APRIL
Washington, DC – March 7, 2016 – WDCW-TV (DCW50) Tribune Broadcasting’s Washington, DC television station, will launch a local nightly 10P newscast scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 18th. The half-hour newscast will include coverage of the local, national and international news of the day. Live news reports at 10PM will be featured from throughout the DC metropolitan community every night during this newscast, along with local weather and sports coverage.

The DCW50 “News at 10P” will be anchored from the studios of WTVR-TV, the Tribune Broadcasting-owned CBS affiliate in Richmond, Virginia; and a team of local reporters, multi-media journalists (MMJ’s), sports reporters, photographers and editors will be based out of DCW50’s broadcast operation in northwest Washington, DC.
The DCW50 “News at 10P” newscast will feature a single news anchor, Candace Burns, who currently co-anchors WTVR’s 6PM and 11PM newscasts. Multiple Emmy Award-winning meteorologist Zach Daniel and veteran sports reporter and anchor, Lane Casadonte will anchor DCW50’s weeknight weather and sports, respectively. The weekend anchor team as well as other general assignment reporters and MMJ’s will be announced in the coming weeks.
